WRAL News obtained video footage of a home invasion late Friday night in Hoke County that left one man hospitalized.

Investigators said four men broke into a home Friday night in the 900 block of Loop Road in Hoke County.

Tigra Headen and his mother were at home during the break-in.

"My mom kept saying she heard someone outside," he said. "They took the light down from outside, and it didn’t come on. When I came out of the backroom, they knocked on the door and asked to use my phone."

Headen said before he could turn around, one of the men hit him in the head with a gun. The other three men then came in and ransacked the home while pointing guns at Headen and his mother, who has Alzheimer's.

"One of them pointed a gun at my mom, and I jumped in front of her," Headen said. "One said, ‘We’re not going to hurt your mom,’ and another one came back and hit me in the back of the head. That’s when I fell on the floor."

In the Ring doorbell footage, you can hear Headen pleading with the four men, telling them they had the wrong people and the wrong house.

“They tried to drag me out the door," Headen said. "I think they were trying to get me in the car to go with them, but I was holding on."

Headen said the home invaders let him go after they saw him reach for a hammer as they were pulling him outside. They then took his car and drove away.

There was a chase, during which the armed suspects shot at officers, striking their vehicle. No officers were injured.

The suspects then crashed the car near Purvis Court in the Hillcrest area of Raeford and took off running.

Authorities arrested one man, Octavius Purcell, and charged him with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, first-degree robbery and other charges.

Headen, who said his mother has been at the home for nearly 45 years, said the community is “tight-knit,” but the home invasion has everyone on edge.

Headen was released from the hospital and authorities are still searching for the other three men in the home invasion.

“Everybody here knows each other. We used to play, have a good time and leave the door open,” he said. “Just be real alert because this is something that can be traumatizing. I’m still nervous to be here, but I’m glad I’m here.”

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said the other three men have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
