Hazmat crews repair gas leak at FSU after gas line struck

The Fayetteville Fire Department dispatched to a gas leak on FSU's campus around 10 a.m. When crews arrived on the scene, they discovered that construction equipment had struck a 3-inch gas line near Vance Hall.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — There was a gas leak Wednesday morning at Fayetteville State University after a gas line was struck.

The Fayetteville Fire Department dispatched to a gas leak on FSU's campus around 10 a.m.

When crews arrived on the scene, they discovered that construction equipment had struck a 3-inch gas line near Vance Hall.

Piedmont Natural Gas was notified about the leak, and hazmat crews work to clamp the gas line.
