Jake I usually don't comment on a post I see when going to some one's profile but I had to tell you how right you are on this. I have also seen the band of brothers and uncles to tell of WW1 and WW2, even Vietnam wasn't a piece on cake. But in wars since ww2, our men do get to correspond and in this war they have so many ways of communicating with family and friends. When my husband was in Nam sometimes the only mail I got was a cut up ration container made like a post card and it would be so muddy and stuff I could hardly read it. Once it had a big mosquito remains squashed on the back. War is hell and it is costly but sometimes it is necessary. I personally think this war had become necessary. You stay safe and I will always appreciate what you've given back to this country to protect it. Just wanted you to know that.

Next on my list - Lewis and Clark were surveyors though often cited as 'explorers' - surveying is not exactly glamorous.
Currently reading " A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs' Court" for some escapism.....

Our country is in much need of tapping into it's own resources and building new refineries, but most of all putting those men and women back to work.

You probably have - but everyone should read it before they comment on how bad the Iraq war was handled.
