I'll be taking a break from GOLO for the next few weeks as I embark on a long journey to Asia. I'm off to experience life in East Asia, do some fantastic shopping, and learn a great deal about several countries. I should be back later in July and hope to have great photos to share. I'm just learning how to use my digital camera so let's hope the photos look good!

After two days straight of looking at the pictures from the flooding in Cedar Falls/Des Moines/Iowa City and the tornado carnage in Parkersburg I burst into tears when I read the story about the tornado and the boy scout camp. I need to hear some positive news out of the state of Iowa for a change.

Lutefisk and Ice-fishing. I don't think people really understand just how bizarre the North can be! My mom's dad was 100% Swedish. We used to make so much fun of him! I bought him a book of Ole and Lena jokes one year for Christmas. :)

OMG! And I totally forgot about snowmobile puddle jumpin'! I think it is so funny when I see it on TV and they miss hitting the other side of the ice and their snowmobile sinks in the lake! ;)

So who will the conservatives support in the election if they don't like McCain? Or will they support him just because he isn't a Democrat? hawk_fan

Wanted to answer that for ya too since OldSchool can't really speak for all conservatives.

I plan on writing in and I'll write in Ron Paul
