You know, several years ago, I was going to a chiropractor for my ankles and it helped. One afternoon, they surprised me by adjusting my neck and I didn't like it. I stopped going. Over time, I had forgotten about going for my ankles, but it did seem to help. It might be a good idea again, especially since they are slipping. An adjustment would make sure they are aligned right. Thanks for that suggestion. I'll look into that.

Thanks for the comments on my "getting in shape" blog. Bit of brief history about my ankles; I was in a wreck in '96 that left both ankles severely injured. Almost lost the left foot altogether. The result/diagnosis is that I have necrosis of the left (ie: losing the bone) and will eventually have to have it fused. The right has some, but it's halted. However, I periodically slip and dislocate the ankle. I have about 2% range of motion in left, 5% in right. I did phys therapy, but based on the injury and the healing, I will not regain motion. They always hurt, but some days worse than others. My dr said I needed to do weight bearing w/some impact to increase bone density. That's where my train is derailing. I don't know how to get that w/my circumstance. I am walking, which can only help imho. I can do a version of jog, but not long and end up on crutches later for it.

I'm pretty fit, but trying to find alternatives to 'impact' for bone health other than meds.

Yes, we had an awesome trip...I'm still "reeling" from reality!

However, I will be a "mommy" again tomorrow. Hubby is going to get our new "greyhound" tomorrow.
