about blockhead squared
"I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion"
"Character is doing the right thing, even when nobody's looking"
"If you understand, things are just as they are; If you do not understand, things are still just as they are."
"If you choose not to decide,,, you still have made a choice"
"No one can insult you without your consent"
I am not opposed to any particular culture or anybody's personal beliefs. Who am I to be so arrogant as to tell you that you are wrong. So, on the other hand who are you to tell me I'm wrong ? I believe in freedom of choice, for all. A person should be free to live and believe as he wishes, with some limitations of course : )
I like to know what others are thinking. I may not always agree, however, I appreciate the ideas and opinions of others, especially when their's differs from mine. So, believe as you wish, just don't jam it down my throat.
I have learned to seek happiness by limiting my desires, rather than in attempting to satisfy them, Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have.
I believe in logic.
I have strong moral values and seek to do good.
I am inspired by the immeasurability and awesome beauty of the universe.
I do not believe in a personal God who is the creator of the universe and the judge of humans.
I believe that humans are a part of nature, not set above it
The idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I am unable to take seriously.
I believe our earth was created from the universe and will one day be reabsorbed back into the universe.
I believe that God and the Universe are the same.
My religion consists of a humble admiration for the illimitable superior spirit that reveals itself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. What I cannot understand is how there could possibly be a God who would reward or punish his subjects or who could induce us to develop our will in our daily life. I cannot then believe in this concept of an anthropomorphic God who has the powers of interfering with these natural laws. Man would indeeded be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment or hope of reward after death. > Albert Einstein
I do not believe in "SATAN" or "THE DEVIL"
The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary, Men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.
I can't say for certain if GOD really exists, however, I believe it would be better for his reputation if he didn't.
I believe Heaven and Hell are both a state of mind,,, rather than a physical place.
Maybe this world is another planet's Hell ?? or Heaven ?? Who Knows ??
I've never understood how God could expect his creatures to pick the one true religion by faith,,, it strikes me as a sloppy way to run a universe.
I believe that if God was real there would be no evil. Evil exists because it was either willed by God or it was beyond his powers to prevent it. I cannot bring myself to fear/worship a God who is either spiteful or weak. To believe that this world was created by God makes no sense to me at all. If so, God commits great sin himself in allowing the abuse and brutal murder of the innocent children whom he himself so created. God says do what you wish, but make the wrong choice and you will be tortured for eternity in hell. That is not free will. I believe in a God, only I call him Nature.
Just some of my beliefs, I'm not pushing them on anyone.
I believe in Free Will for everyone.
I see only with deep regret that God punishes so many of his children for their numerous stupidities, for which only he Himself can be held responsible, only His nonexistence could excuse Him. -- Albert Einstein
"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein
"We must, however, acknowledge, as it seems to me, that man with all his noble qualities...still bears in his bodily frame the indelible stamp of his lowly origin" - Charles Darwin
Strange is it not, that of the myriads who before us passed through the door of darkness, Not one returns, to tell us of the road which to discover, we must travel too.
"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself a fool" - Shakespeare
"The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes" - Winston Churchill
"Well done is better than well said" - Ben Franklin
"When in doubt tell the truth" - Mark Twain
"Choose silence of all virtues, for by it you hear other men's imperfections, and conceal your own" - Confucius
Why does a woman work for ten years to change a man's habit and then complain that he is not the man she married ?
Reality is an interpretation of perception, Perception is in the eye of the perceiver, We don't see things as they are, We see things as we are. The world we live in is created by our mind.
"The man who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The man who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been."
Well, you can do what you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America ! Gentlemen !
My granny said sonny, stick to your guns if you believe in something no matter what, cause it's better to be hated for who you are, than be loved for who your not.
I really appreciate honesty, I am very honest in the comments I post here. I would much rather offend someone with honesty, than snowball them with lies.
