I don't think we should provide things like foot baths and such, not in government buildings. Whatever private businesses choose to do is their own concern, and would likely depend on their clientele. If they have a good many Muslim customers, they'd be wise to consider it. That's capitalism, though. :)
I do agree that ridding ourselves of the dependence on oil from the Middle East would help... I honestly think that'll sort itself out eventually, as oil production has apparently already peaked in Saudia Arabia. If we don't blow each other off the face of the Earth before the oil dries out, that is.

I do know that I feel it's just not right to hate a a group of people based solely on their religious beliefs.
I wish I did have the answer. I'm thinking if I did, someone would've already thought of it, and there'd be peace in the Middle East.
*sigh*

Hi again - I really like The Winds of War - It follows the lives of the family of a Naval Commander named Pug Henry, who wants nothing more than command of a battleship, but who finds himself in Berlin as a Naval Attache in the late 30's right on up until the declaration of war on the U.S. by Germany. Not only him, but his wife and children. He has a son who's training as a Naval Aviator, another son who's a will of the wisp, won't stay in college, and is currently in Italy as a kind of a gofer for an old Jewish author. This family is woven into the accurate history of the events and times leading up to the war. It accurately portrays the fact that many German officers had studied in the U.S. and the mixed emotions of many on both sides of the conflict.
