im east bound and down loaded up and truckin' we gon do what they say cant be done. we a long way to go and a short time to get there...............

Who will be your hero?

Take a minute and think about someone who had the biggest influence on your life. Who is the first person that comes to mind? What memories stir in your heart? Is there a favorite joke or saying that makes you laugh? If your older you may be one of these hero’s and not even know it. You could be an inspiration or a motivator for a niece or granddaughter. If you’re a parent you could be that hero to your kids. So, if you’re the one that is the hero, what does this mean? Did you ever think that YOU could be the one to influence a life? Did YOU ever consider the smallest detail like helping a neighbor move or giving back too much change to a cashier could form a young child’s mind to accept wrong as right? Well if  you are in this position, what are you doing about it? Are you flopping on the couch? Are you coming home from work to tired to move? Maybe you have just enough energy to fix dinner, wash dishes, start some clothes, take out the trash, pay a few bills, take shower and then kick back. I didn’t even mention outside yard work or cleaning out a car where your five year old spilled his ice cream. Some of us only have our kids every other weekend. Some have them all the time. Do you take this time for granted? Do you not go out and play basketball or throw the baseball with your little leaguer be cause you tired? Some times your just beat and not able to spend time playing with them. You can still do something better. Talk to them. They are little people. You can influence them with the words that come out of your mouth. BAM. The words out of your mouth can influence. Do your kids see you as a super hero? If not they will find one. It could be an older kid down the road that hangs out with the wrong crowd. It could be a teacher, or coach. They could never find that hero in life and just go around following everyone. Never leading. Never cutting their trail in life. Go back and read this again and think about who you could be influencing and who in your life helped make you who you are. If it was a positive influence thank that person if they are still on earth. If they have gone on tell someone close to you about that person. Starting now think of how you could one day be a hero. We don’t need special powers, sometimes we just need to be there.
