To prove my point... What do you think about Bush? Because he went to an Ivy league school and got rather high marks.
To futher prove the point. Clinton - did not.
You absolutely cannot use the Ivy League college qualifications. The school does not make the person.
I've had $100 bottle wines and I've had $10 bottle wines.
I've had $200 bottle wines that tasted like craap. I've had $10-15 bottle wines that were really good.
People need to get off the snobbery. Obama sounds great... but so did Jim Jones and look where it got those people.
A Con man always SOUNDS great. But if it seems to good to be true... IT IS. There is nothing honerable about Obama. Perhaps there use to be.. but now, he's just another politician scamming the people

Still, no prosecutor would attempt to pursue an indictment against a sitting president until Congress had availed itself of the impeachment process and removed the person from the office. In the event that they fail to do so, the person is open to indictment after leaving the office under normal circumstances. This is why Ford pardoned Nixon. Once Nixon left the office, he no longer enjoyed immunity and could have been (i.e. would have been) charged as a regular citizen.

Pretty deep, considering it's my life's work. :-D
"but other than impeachment and subsequent conviction of a sitting president, does Congress have any authority to bring charges of any kind regarding one who flagrantly violates the oath of office"
Congress doesn't, no. The power of Congress with regard to the President is spelled out in the Constitution, and extends to impeachment in the House (as provided for in Article I, Section 2, Clause 5) & trial / conviction in the Senate (Article I, Section 3, Clause 6.)
