about poohperson2000

I usually speak out on issues regarding schooling and parenting. I think many of the problems our teachers face on a day to day basis could be fixed by better involvement and parenting.  People refuse to see that schools are only there to provide so much, and the rest is our job. I wish all parents would step up to the plate and do their share of parenting and become more involved in the schools.

<> My opinions do come across as strong and sometimes even righteous when  it comes to our kids, their education, and how parents are involved with their child's education.

<> I am not a politically motivated person so to speak. Most heavy topics like war and such are too far out of my reach to affect. I can not force myself to read article after article about fighting, and Americans dying. My husband has served in the Navy, the Army Reserve, and currently the National Guard Army Reserve. I am proud of him and all the soldiers that are brave enough to fight for our country. On the other hand I refuse to converse with my husband about the reality of him being deployed. That is an issue I just can not deal with until I have too.

<> I have a seven year old that I love very much. He is a kind loving child (the school tells me so), that is wonderful at abiding others but a little terror at home. We like most parents struggle to understand how a 7 year old can be a perfect citizen at school but will debate you on any topic at home. I often wonder how I managed to raise such an opinionated child, then I remember how I am. Either way a 7 year old has the most creative ways of telling you how or why they can not do something!!

I posted a reply to you on the blog about handicapped parking. I wanted to catch you here also. It IS tough when you have little ones. Parking lots can be a very dangerous place. I don't think people w/o kids realize the dilemma's parents face. I wasn't trying to pass judgement on you. I agree, at many of those stores (ie, Walmart) they DO need more cart returns. I think more people would return them if they didn't have to walk across 3 lanes to return them.

"""I have to say I am guilty of the shopping cart thing. I put my child in the car as soon as we get there (he is 8,)I am not walking halfway across the parking lot and leaving him alone to put the dam* cart up.""" roflmbo!!! WOW! What an example you are to your child! Nothing like teaching him to do as you please, and be lazy! I send my 8 yr old to push the cart to the corral, or to the sidewalk by the front door his self. We always grab a cart from the lot, before entering the store too so that the lot worker has one less cart to round up. When I see some idiot leaving a cart in the middle of a parking lot, I get the strongest urge to RAM it into their car!!! Way to teach your child responsability. Just leave your mess where ever. Who cares who might need the parking spot that you left it in, or who's car it may roll into after your gone.

Well, if even one person from my friends list says yes, then probably. So far though everyone is saying no.

Hi ya' Pooh, will you be going to the coffee clutch tomorrow?

pooh--Ive seen your kind comments too much on Golo to feel you are absorbed in evil. It matters not if you can't feel the relationship offered by God. It is something that only you can obtain. I do feel from what I have studied, that should the day come, and you are faced with your maker, by all means ask for salvation. It is of my opinion that it is never too late according to the words. God will not think of you as a hypocrite, but on of his children......I would not in any way try to bash someone else in their beliefs. Hard core Christians hurt this faith a long time ago by trying to set man made standards of their making for others to follow. If the time comes and you're backed against the wall, and all else has failed, it is not hypocritical to ask. I am not one who likes to boast on faith and I am not that happy to write blogs but with all the blogs floating around I felt the need to speak out without condemning anyone else.

No. Pooh, what you saw was the real deal; the true colors of a bigot and a hate monger. That is the person we see on a daily basis, he seeks us out, not the other way around, all because we are Pagan.

He probably calmed down enough to see that you were trying to respect his position while voicing your own before he began talking down to you; hence the need to kiss-up and play it off as though the entire thing was nothing more than a joke to him.

I admire and respect how you handled yourself in that blog, but don't let him fool you, the nasty person you saw tonight was very real - even Hollywood can't fake that degree of bigotry and hatred.
