We were created in God's image, not the other way around.

Being sepatated and headed for divorce is a hard place to be. I'm moving on with my life but I can't help but lament over the life that was. I will always love my wife. I have two absolutely beautiful step-daughters that I adore. I helped raise them for almost 8 years. They are my children in my heart. They may very well be the only children I will have.

 I made a vow that I don't know if divorce from man's court can erase. Isn't marriage supposed to be a covenant between husband, wife, and God? Soloman understood this later in his life, although he failed miserably as a young man, he later understood "Two are stronger than one, and a three fold cord is not easily broken" (from Ecclesiastes 4:12). Some people don't understand the vows, and what it means to God to say them. I do, and always will. That third cord is God. Keep Him in your life and in the center of your marriage. I hope God will allow me another chance to love as He designed love to be...

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

Love is patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful, not proud, rude or selfish, not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not gloat over other peoples sins but takes delight in the truth. Love always bears up, always trusts, always hopes, always endures. Love never ends; but prophesies will pass, tongues will cease, knowledge will pass. For our knowledge is partial, and our prophesy partial; but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, thought like a child, argued like a child; now that I have become a man, I have finished with childish ways. For now we see obscurity in a mirror, but then it will be face to face. Now I know partly; then I will know fully, just as God has fully known me. But for now, three things last - trust, hope, love; and the greatest of these is love. Pursue love!

The Blues

  In The Breeze

The sun is shining, the morning warms
I hear the call of the road once more

Going out for a country cruise
it does not matter, I cannot lose
Her chrome does gleam in the morning sun
switch on the key and let her run
As she warms there is that roar, the rumble I have come to much adore
Throw over a leg and grab the bars
roll up the drive and past the car
A glorious day, this is my fun to be at one with wind and sun
Shift through the gears, get up to speed
I feel at peace, my mind's at ease.
This is what my soul it needs,
the road, the bike, knees in the breeze.

Footprints in the sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.

Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,

other times there were one set of footprints. 

This bothered me because I noticed that during

 the low periods of my life,when I was suffering

from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only

 one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You

promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would

walk with me always. But I have noticed that during

the most trying periods of my lifethere have only

been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when

I needed you most,y ou have not been there for me?

" The Lord replied," The times when you have seen

only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I

carried you."
