Thanks JULI......I get mad when someone hurts kids, the elderly, or animals, and I truly guess people in general, but especially those!!

skidkid.......the chow/shepherd I had given my Dad in 1992 and he died in 2006. I still miss him as he was the most devoted dog I ever had and I inherited him when my Dad was killed in 1997 in a car accident and also lost my Mom to cancer a few months later. I also lost my red tick hound about 7 months ago....he was a stray that had been beaten and abused and then abandoned by some hunter. It took 6 months of work before he started trusting me some......he got hit by a car because I could never get a collar on him to use for the wireless fence system. My newest rescue before the catahoula was Toby, and he dug out of his pen and got in the road 5 weeks ago with tragic results. It hurts so bad when they die, but I do go and rescue another if it happens. The new one is easy to control and loves attention and love. Still cowers if you yell or have anything in your hands but he is coming around!!

Hi! That was a super-great blog you wrote on the cat poisoner. Inhumane acts such as that needs to be brought to everyone's attention. I hope they catch his/her sorry but* before more innocent animals die. It breaks my heart to know how they must have suffered.

I have a pic of my catahoula on my site. They are wonderful wonderful dogs. Congrats to you! He is very beautiful.

My sisters coonhound had 12 puppies - 4 were catahoula mixed and even though some people didn't care for the markings, they were the first adopted by those that loved them... like me!

I named mine RockXana Du. She was so abstract and beautiful, I had to name her something unique.

Congrats again! and it's so awesome that you cared so much and tried so hard for this guy. I'm sure he will repay you double with his love and loyalty.

I'm sorry about your dog. How long did you have the dog? My dog is now 15 and I know she's next. That will take a while to recover from. My wife was closer to the cat than I was. I should say the cat was closer to my wife. I had some tears, but I'm good now. I'm sure emotions will come back when we clean up her stuff.
