bob denver has died. he was 70.
Published Oct. 16, 2008Lovable Bob Denver has died. He was known for his work in "Gilligan's Ialand," "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis," "Far Out Space Nuts" and "For Those Who Think Young," which won the 1965 Oscar for Best Screenplay. Denver was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Award. "Far Out Space Nuts" won the 1975 Emmy for Best Children's Programming.
In later years, Denver became a born-again Christian and often served as a guest minister at several LA churches. He was also active in the animal rights movement of the late-80s.
Gilligan, we love you and we miss you. Rest in Peace thy faithful servant!
