an interesting question

I had a very interesting conversation with a girl at work yesterday.  We (this girl and I) have had several conversations about the election.  She is black and I am white and I love to hear why she feels the way she does, but yesterday she threw me for a loop.  This is our conversation...it started with the bailout and then went on to the slimy commercials and then...

 

Her: I have decided I am not wasting my vote.  (until now she has really been pulling for Obama hard)

 

Me: What are you talking about?

 

Her:  If Obama wins I know that one of ya'll crazy white rednecks are going to take him out.

 

Me:  Take him out???

 

Her:  Yeah, take one of them big old shotguns up to the white house and take him out.

 

Me:   You are crazy, no one will be able to get close to him.

 

Her:  Yes ya'll will find a way.  And then this poor world will be stuck with Biden and I don't think he could run my house, much less my country.

 

This kind of floored me.  I would have never thought of this, but evidently someone is.  What do ya'll think?

The only thing that I have noticed is the only people making comments with reference to racism are - black people....why is that?

Seems like everybody forgets that barack is not "Black", he is 50% White, 40-something-% Arab and less than 10% African. By what stretch of the imagination does that mean that he has anything in common with most Black people? I am voting for John McCain because he is the lesser of 2 evils. If Colin Powell or Condi Rice were running, they would certainly get my vote. I think either one of them would be a better choice than the ones that are running.

The only crazy white redneck aiming to gun Obama down is Hillary.

I have seen this election divide many of my what I thought was black friends. But reading their racist comments on other peoples profiles turned me against them. I feel sorry for a black person who feels they have to doubt every white they meet. I never think of color until the issue is brought up and when the issue is brought up it changes my opinion of the person if they feel whites are against blacks. I choose people according to character and actions. When you talk nice to me in person and make racist remarks behind my back I don't need you as a friend.

I will tell you this. had Colin Powell ran and chose Condi as his runnig mate I wouldn't be sitting here worried about things. I think they have undoubting integrity and she is one smart lady with foreign policy. I also would not be doubting my voting. You may vote for Obama for what ever reson you choose. My reason for not voting is I don't trust the man, and I do not see him as independent. He's spent and taken more advice on how to win the campaign than any cadidate in American History. It's should not take 100's of millions to run a year and a half campaign. He never votes for anything that isn't back by democrats. he always asks for democratic advise. He denied any wrong doing by Fannie mae in 2000, when he was looking at the facts before him. He's not open enough about his life and agenda. I cannot vote for a man who denies the life of an aborted child to survive after the abortion. he voted to let them die no medical help. My space is out on why I can't vote for him

let me ADD NOT ALL BLACK females but in reality a majority of them are like this, FROM PERSONAL experience since I have moved to the south 18 yrs ago
