if a woman is raped should she have to pay for her own rape kit?

While Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla, she made women pay for their own rape kits in what amounted to a second violation of these women. Any thoughs on this Sarah Palin -- a truly cold and heartless woman?
I guess she was too busy lobbying for earmarks and her Bridge to Nowhere to be concerned about other people. Maybe she was just hanging out on the shore looking for Russians.

In this case, this is not the case, as the evidence shows. It was a local decision by the police department, that, at least in the case of Wasilla, the chief of which could be fired by the mayor. This was a internal decision, not one of overall budget.

Randy, the city council if not the state general assembly votes on these issues, mayor's don't preside over such situations. To insinuate that a WOMAN who is PRO-LIFE would enact something like this is folly. We don't run dictatorships, our executives can only go on whatever ride the prevailing council and assemblies take them on. Stop being ridiculous, you're contributing nothing but a view into radical liberalism.

patty - you are assessment of Palin's performance is in the minority of people who did not already have a favorite going in. Objective analysis would show that she is an inelegant communicator.
