holly springs eases water restrictions
Published Aug. 24, 2008Customers can now use sprinklers and irrigation systems three times a week according to a schedule. Customers are still not allowed to wash cars or use power washers.
----------------------------------------------------
You can water your lawn but you can't keep your house (the more valuable investment) clean? What if someone were to say they are watering their lawn, but the sprinkler just happened to be pointing UP the side of the house and the water was running down, to then water the lawn? Or perhaps that same water you use to water your grass was going to run over the top of your car first?
I'm sorry, I just don't understand the logic behind some of the restrictions. I understand a need to conserve all the time and to restrict during severe times. But honestly, less water is used to wash a house or a car than most will use to water their grass. And if it's done right, you can wash the house or car AND water the grass, all at the same time!
