why are people afraid ?

I go to yahoo answers, its a fun place to give fun answers or advice or to ask funny questions. Once I asked a question and I had refrenced VEggie tales into it.
I got many NEGATIVE responses from people calling me retarded and my children would be retarded from watching veggie tales.
So my question is this, why are people so afraid of NON violent tv with no sexual ineuendo ( sp ? ) cursing, affairs, crime and or violence ?
Veggie tales is great, it teaches right from wrong, morals and the way to treat others. MOST reference it as a religious show but it's not, they never mention Jesus ( that I know of ) just teachins of good behavior and morals.
I'm appalled at many peoples answers sometimes on their view of veggie tales even though they have never seen them
So my question is, wouldn't you rather your child watch a show that teaches morals and values ( and of course you and I as a parent do that as well ) then watching mindless cartoons like teletubiies or animae violent cartoons ?

My kids LOVE them..they have many of their shows...My favorite is the Jonah wale...

It's the Internet,so anything goes.Kids get online just to "cyber-fight".They get kicks from doing such things.Nothing more,Nothing Less.
