Carrowinds was fun with the kids a few years ago, and it was expensive then. With the prices of everything nowadays, we are staying local. How about wet n wild in Greensboro? A lot closer than Carrowinds or the beach.

Check out www.greatwolflodge.com. It's in Williamsburg, it's like a water park inside the hotel. Plus, you have water country and busch gardens nearby, not to mention all the outlets1!! Wonderful shopping. Enjoy your week and let us know what you decide :-)

OldRebel...my uncles just did the Dragon ride last year. They had a blast!! It was a special trip for em cause they were supposed to do it with my dad before he passed and never made it. They brought back amazing pictures.

Ghost Town ain't bad either and it's really nice up the in the mountains..Or Spruce Pines has a place you can go mining for diamonds and rubies..The kids will love that!

Me too...me too! Will be so glad to see 5:00 today. Our heat here is 98 to 100 so it is radical. We are heading to the lake for a couple days and then going to visit family in Jacksonville, Florida.. Other than that, it will be work...work...and more work at the house. Darn house!

Vacation? What is a vacation? ;) Next time I have off, It's 'to them hill's ole brother' for me. Ain't got the heat up there this time of year, and if you stay away from the touristy places, you don't have the crowds either. Hopefully I can get over and ride the "Dragon" in western NC/eastern Tenn. I can't wait!!!

We've done the amusement park thing a few years running (season passes are a great value) but this year my hubby wants to go back to the vacation spot of his childhood so we are doing Ft. Macon and the Wright Bros Memorial, that area
