best place to eat and watch a game...

I am looking for a good place for my son and I to eat and watch baseball.

I found a really excellent place in Greensboro. Beef OBrady's on 70.  It is locally owned and very freindly.  They have about 6-7 TVs and family oriented.

Is there anyplace like that in Raleigh or Durham?

I'm trying to obtain some box seats for the Bulls sometime in July. I hope to get a dozen, and if and when I do I'll be asking for company from in here. Free meal included in the MVP lounge (air conditioned with big TV with the game playing). The seats are located in the premium section facing between first base and the home plate.

Most bars these days are "kid friendly" which is kind of annoying to us that try find a place to get away from the kids, have a few beers and relax. The entire Beef O'Brady chain is 'training bars'.

Plus, Friday night games at the Durham Ballpark most always has fireworks display.

Durham Bulls games are a real bargain. Live baseball and hotdogs and sodas and Wooley Bull. A kid could not enjoy watching a game there. But go at night...too hot for a day game.

There's an Ale House in the shopping center that the Target is in off of 15-501 (used to be called Southsquare). That's a good place to go and is kid friendly, too.

Jackadoo is right, that is a great place if you're coming from Greensboro. Also, if you want to come to Raleigh, Carolina Ale House on Falls of Neuse is awesome. Good luck!
