the light at the end of the tunnel

Due to increasing expenditures, cost overruns, piss poor management, corporate greed, payroll stagnation, unfettered waste, escalating food prices, and soaring gasoline prices we are forced to implement the following policy in an effort to save money.
Effective Immediately : The light at the end of the tunnel has been officially turned off !
This light will remain off until further notice,
Anyone attempting to turn the light on again will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Please feel free to bring in your own light from home if you need to see your way through to the other end of the tunnel.
Thank you all for your cooperation
