what's your brand of caffeine

Published Apr. 11, 2008

I was soooo Tired yesterday afternoon i didn't read the posts to my last blog until just now. It was a very VERY long day. Which brings me to the Subject for this post. Lets learn a little something about eachother that's mostly harmless, somewhat fun and interesting, and pretty much can't be grumbled about, hated on, fixated into something worthlessly trivial, and otherwise, just doesn't take a whole lot of energy to explain.

What's that? Well, What's your Brand of Caffeine? Myself I have a cup of S&D coffee from the machine at work in the morning, then usually 2 sodas through the day, sometimes I substitute one later in the day for somethinglike Propel water ora Gator-ade, it really just depends on my activity level and how run down I am feeling by then. Then at night I might have a glass of soda, but 95% of teh time I just drink black cherry cool-ade.

 So what's you Caffeine vice?

I have one bucketful first thing each morning. Since we weren't using the bucket for car washing anymore, I just hate to see things go unused.

I fogot: We drink Folger's med. dark. Delicious!

I only have one cup on Sat. and Sun. mornings. I drink chocolate milk during the work week, in the mornings. I put 6 spoons of sugar, 2 of creamer, top that with cool whip, and then put Hershey's syrup on top of the cool whip. Very good and of course, very fattening! LOL!

No soda, unsweetened tea - that I make, Maxwell House occasionally now - used to be about 2 pots a day, and Goody powders.

Lordy...my caffine. When it come to my favorite coffee, I demand just that. I'm very picky in satisying my taste-buds with what they are used to....coffee and tea alike. If I have to substitute, then I just as soon do without. And if I have to do without, especially in the morning, then you can bet that I'll be cranky all day. For coffee, I favor the Kangaroo brand. I don't usually buy it by the cup, but rather buy it in the grounded form... bagged. It's cheaper that way. The first thing I'll do in the morning is get a pot perking as I get ready for work. And every morning out the door I go with my mini-thermos of coffee with cream and sugar, waking me up for another day of fun at the workplace.

For tea, it's gotta be homemade Lipton sweet tea. But I'm more open to fast-food brews during my lunchhour. I've found the best tea can be found at Burger King and Taco Bell. I stay away from their food though. I usually don't eat at lunchtime, but rather come home and read emails.

About 7 cups of coffee a day - not particular of brand. Never drink soda.

vodka with a red bull chaser.... =) Happy Friday!

Right now we're drinking Stokholm Roast, and Dark Roast from Gevalia's. They're a mail order coffee/tea co. Hubby and I really like African/Morrocan coffee as well. They've got a major kick, but a wonderful rich flavor as well. Starbuck's just doesn't cut it for either of us. Although my 17yr daugter lives with her Starbucks card in her pocket.

Cafe Bustelo-an expresso/dark roast, but brewed like regular coffee and then drink ~3cups/day. Not quite as much caffeine as say MH or folgers but sure tastes better.
