Gardner: It's a sunny, cold Thanksgiving forecast

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tuesday will be another mild day before temperatures get chilly just in time for Thanksgiving vacation.

According to WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss, highs will be in the upper 50s Tuesday. The morning will be cloudy before skies brighten by the afternoon.

Temperatures will drop overnight and into Wednesday, which will be slightly cooler and sunny, with highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday, or Thanksgiving, will be one of the coolest days of the week, with highs in the upper 40s. The skies will be bright and clear both Thursday and Friday, but winter coats will be necessary if you leave the house to visit family and friends.

Saturday will be warmer but windy with some rain and overcast skies. The chance of rain is only slight, according to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, and Sunday will be warm and beautiful, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 60s.
