A Raleigh family is out of a home after a fire broke out at an apartment complex Wednesday night.

The Raleigh Fire Department received the call of a fire on the 1200 block of Capability Drive in Raleigh. Authorities said the fire started in the middle unit of a five-row condo complex.

Video of the scene showed fire tearing through the roof of the condo.

"We saw the [on] the balcony there was a lot of smoke," Kendall Wisniewski said. "We were confused by that so we went outside to check."

Nate Margraf, who lived at the home, said his father owned the property. Margraf's father wasn't home at the time of the fire, but he worried about another loved one inside: his dog.

Margraf said firefighters were able to rescue the dog form the home.

"I'm glad Sadie's okay," Margraf said. "She was on the first floor. She can't go up the stairs at all."

Firefighters contained the fire to the balcony and attic in the unit and listed it as under control in less than 30 minutes.

Two units had residents displaced and the power cut off, and firefighters reported no injuries.

The fire was accidental, according to firefighters.
