Fayetteville woman arrested months after shooting death of Georgia man

Heather Shontell Lindsay was arrested for the shooting death of Andre Allen Lewis that occurred in the area along the 1100 block of Center Street in November.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville woman was arrested on Sunday in connection with a fatal shooting form November 2023.

Fayetteville police said Heather Shontell Lindsay was arrested for the shooting death of Andre Allen Lewis that occurred along the 1100 block of Center Street in November.

Lindsay was charged with first-degree murder.

On Nov. 15 around 6:30 p.m., officers discovered Lewis, 44, inside a car and suffering from a gunshot wound. Lewis was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Lewis, who lived in Georgia, died on Dec. 18.

Lindsay is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
