Fayetteville woman arrested after child found with cocaine in system

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fayetteville woman on Wednesday after receiving a report late last month about a child in her care with cocaine in their system.

Cumberland County detectives arrested Shateva Jalisa McQueen on Wednesday after an investigation. The sheriff’s office initially received the report on Feb. 27.

McQueen, 34, is charged with contributing delinquency to a juvenile and neglect by parents and others.

Authorities processed McQueen at the Cumberland County Detention Center. She was released on a $1,500 secured bond.
