Elon Musk sues OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman for breach of contract

(CNN) — Elon Musk says that OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman have diverged from the original, nonprofit, mission of OpenAI by selling its products to customers, partnering with Microsoft and keeping its code for its newest generative AI products a secret.

CNN — (CNN) — Elon Musk says that OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman have diverged from the original, nonprofit, mission of OpenAI by selling its products to customers, partnering with Microsoft and keeping its code for its newest generative AI products a secret.

Musk, a co-founder of OpenAI, has since left and has formed his own AI company, xAI. Musk is asking for a jury trial and for the company, Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman to pay back the profit they received from the business.
