2020 Democratic candidates wage escalating fight (on the merits of fighting)
For all the emphasis placed on the identity and generational partitions between the Democratic candidates for president, the question of "to fight or not to fight" might represent a more meaningful contrast. You could classify Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Bernie Sanders as the pugilists in the field, whereas Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, fashions himself a peacemaker. Former Vice President Joe Biden would also sit in the latter camp.
