Durham police seek help in 2014 cold case

Durham police investigators are seeking the public's help in reference to a homicide on the 1400 block of Liberty Street in 2014.

Alfredo D. Jobel, 28, had returned home from getting his car washed on Avondale Drive on Feb. 1, 2014, around 1:30 p.m. when we was shot and killed. Investigators said he had been shot while in a vehicle, which then collided with a second vehicle.

A black Honda four-door vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high speed after the shooting. It is unknown if the Honda was the suspect's vehicle.

Investigators believe the murder may have been the result of an altercation Jobel had with someone while at the car wash.
