RALEIGH, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Thursday on federal charges connected to bomb threats made against Raleigh officials in recent months.

Michael Dexter Brodie was indicted two weeks ago on two counts of mailing bomb threat hoaxes.

Raleigh City Hall was evacuated three times in May after receiving bomb threats. Police never found any explosives in or near the building.

Bomb threats have been sent to several area schools this spring as well.

If convicted, Brodie faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each charge.
