Dunn police looking for man suspected of shooting, killing man at his home

Brandon Giles was found shot in the driveway of his home on North Ellis Avenue in Dunn on Sunday, Jan. 28. Police have identified Cornelius Webb as the shooter and are looking for him.

DUNN, N.C. — Dunn police are investigating a murder from Sunday and looking for two men they believe were involved.

Around 2 p.m., police and first responders found a man shot in the driveway of his home on North Ellis Avenue in Dunn.

Brandon Giles was taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, where he died from his injuries.

Police identified Cornelius Webb as the shooter and learned that Webb was driven to the location by an unknown man in a red four-door sedan. An arrest warrant on Webb for first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder was secured.

Police are looking for Webb as well as the driver of the vehicle. They provided a surveillance photo of the sedan to media outlets.

Dunn police are looking for a Toyota sedan in a murder investigation from Sunday, Jan. 28.

Police said Webb is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows of Webb’s whereabouts or sees him, they are urged to call 911 and not approach him.
