Driver found bleeding in roadway, Hoke County man charged with assault

A man was arrested after a driver was found bleeding in the middle of Fayetteville Road.

RAEFORD, N.C. — A man was arrested after a driver was found bleeding in the middle of Fayetteville Road.

On Wednesday afternoon deputies with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6400 block of Fayetteville Road, where they found a truck in the median of the roadway with the driver bleeding.

Deputies applied pressure to the wound, and the driver was transported to a hospital.

Investigators arrested Toboris Buie and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Buie was being held in the Hoke County detention center on a $100,000 secured bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
