DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. — A worker died Thursday in an accident at a plant in eastern North Carolina.
The Department of Labor reported a death at the Butterball plant on Garner Chapel Road in Duplin County.
WITN reports a contractor was killed. The state Occupational Safety and Health Division has opened an investigation into the worker’s death.
No other details were available.
In January, a car wash employee died when she became trapped inside the western North Carolina wash.
