Child rescued after falling 15 feet into storm drain in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Rescue crews helped save a boy who fell into a storm drain in Fayetteville on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters, EMS and police officers responded to the scene next to a Sheetz gas station at the intersection of Raeford Road and Bunce Road.

At approximately 430 p.m. Firefighters, EMS and police officers responded to the scene next to a Sheetz gas station at the intersection of Raeford Road and Bunce Road.

Emergency crews rescued a 4-year-old boy from a storm drain.

The 4-year-old boy fell an estimated 15 feet. WRAL News learned the child was helped out of the drain quickly. The child's injuries were not life-threatening.
