Cary man shot in Goldsboro

A Cary man was shot Friday in Goldsboro, according to police.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Cary man was shot Friday in Goldsboro, according to police.

Around 8:50 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a shooting at 909 Landmark Drive.

Naseer Malik Davis, 24, of Cary, was found with gunshot wounds. He was transported to UNC Wayne then airlifted to ECU Health in Greenville, where he is in fair condition.

A man was taken into custody at the scene and later released.

The shooting is under investigation.
