Captured: Missing Wake Correctional Center inmate tracked down by GPS in Randolph County
East, who was serving a four-year sentence for breaking and entering and larceny in Randolph County, stole a state-owned pickup truck while working at an Adult Correction warehouse on Leagan Drive in Raleigh.
Posted — UpdatedFriday afternoon, East stole a state-owned pickup truck while working at a warehouse at 200 Leagan Drive in Raleigh, according to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.
East is serving a four-year sentence for breaking and entering and larceny in Randolph County. He was classified as a minimum-custody offender and was scheduled for release in July 2026.
Authorities discovered East was missing around 3:15 p.m and tracked him down just before 6 p.m.
