Body pulled from Moore County pond, sparking death investigation

Rescue workers were called shortly after 3:30 p.m. to the pond located off of a roadway in the 1300 block of Union Church Road. When authorities arrived, they found the body of an adult male who was fully clothed. Officials have not publicly identified the man or said if foul play was involved in his death.

Investigators at the scene said it was unclear how long the body had been in the water.

Authorities have not said if any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
