Bicyclist hit, killed on Old Stage Road in southern Wake County
The State Highway Patrol said they don't expect the driver to be charged since the bicyclist was wearing all black and there were no reflectors on the bike.

WILLOW SPRINGS, N.C. — A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a car Saturday night on Old Stage Road in southern Wake County.
A man wearing all black clothes riding a bicycle displaying no lights or reflectors was struck and killed on a dark stretch of Old Stage Road near Black Spruce Way in Willow Spring, late Saturday night.
The rider was struck on a dark stretch of Old Stage Road near Black Spruce Road in Willow Spring. The bicyclist was ejected after a car hit him from behind. He died at the scene.
Old Stage road was closed near Black Spruce Road for more than an hour while law enforcement investigated the scene.
The State Highway Patrol said they don't expect the driver to be charged since the bicyclist was wearing all black and there were no reflectors on the bike.
