Arson investigation: 20-year-old charged with 14 counts of arson after same apartment had multiple fires in one month

A Burlington man has been arrested and charged with 14 counts of first-degree arson.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man has been arrested and charged with 14 counts of first-degree arson.

Burlington police and fire responded to Ethan Pointe Apartments on Thursday at 7:55 p.m. for an apartment fire.

Officials found that a small fire in a bathroom had already been extinguished prior to their arrival. The fire was determined to be suspicious in nature.

This was the third suspicious fire at the complex involving the same apartment within the past month.

Jordan Hunter, 20 years old, of Burlington, was arrested and charged. Hunter was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and held without bond.

There was minor damage to the apartment, and no one was injured.
