Durham Earth Day Celebration (Durham County Memorial Stadium, 750 Stadium Dr, Durham) - Celebrate Earth Day with Durham Parks and Recreation on April 24. Enjoy concerts and conservation talks from the comfort of your vehicle or bring your own chairs and sit directly in front of your vehicle in the marked space provided. This is a free event, but preregistration is required. Reserve your parking spot online.
Countywide Cleanup #CleanJoCo - Celebrate Earth Day in Johnston County on April 24 by cleaning up litter across the county, in parks, open spaces, on trails and roadside.
Earth Day at Crabtree Valley Mall - Celebrate Earth Day at this Raleigh mall with family-friendly fun including a mermaid princess meet and greet, sing-alongs and interactive storytime.
Talking Trash (virtual) - Enjoy this virtual event on April 22 as part of the NC Science Festival. Join Environmental Educators Bianca, Chelsea and Sara from Wake County Environmental Services Department on a virtual tour of the local landfill to find out what happens to your trash. Earth Day 2021 - Nature Play Day (Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center, 6601 Devils Racetrack Rd, Four Oaks) - To celebrate Earth Day, Howell Woods in Four Oaks is offering a free Nature Play Day on April 22. It will consist of fun materials to play with, from bubbles to paints and more.

This is a completely drive-through event with a suggested donation of $10. From the comfort of your own car, get up close and personal with raptors, turtles, snakes and more.
Earth Day Film - "Chasing Coral" (The Gregg Museum of Art & Design, 1903 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh) - Enjoy a screening of this film on April 22 at The Gregg Museum of Art and Design. Using footage from thirty countries, director Jeff Orlowski spent three years creating a film that seeks to raise awareness of a global climate catastrophe already well underway.
