80-year-old woman fatally hit by car in Dunn
An 80-year-old woman was hit and killed while crossing a road in Dunn on Monday.
Posted — UpdatedDUNN, N.C. — An 80-year-old woman was hit and killed while crossing a road in Dunn on Monday.
Troopers said 73-year-old Arnold Barrier was driving a Jeep Cherokee on Jonesboro Road when he hit and killed Fleta Wood.
Wood was crossing the road from her mailbox.
Troopers said weather was a factor in the crash because of heavy mist and rain and dark road conditions.
No charges will be filed in the crash.
