2 drivers hospitalized from Durham crash

Two drivers were hospitalized Wednesday night after a crash on Dixon Road in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two drivers were hospitalized Wednesday night after a crash on Dixon Road in Durham.

Around 11 p.m., officers with the Durham Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Dixon Road.

According to police, a burgundy 2001 Ford Mustang and a burgundy 2002 Ford F-150 were traveling south on Dixon Road when both vehicles ran off the road to the left.

The Mustang hit a ditch and flipped over. The F-150 hit the ditch and struck a utility pole before resting on its top.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Charges are pending, and the crash is still under investigation.
