Before you cut cable, consider best streaming options

Netflix and Hulu are all the rage in streaming services, but there's also Disney+ and Apple TV+.
It used to be that replacing cable with a streaming service could save lots of money. That's not always the case.
"You have to take into account everything from the TV shows you want, the cost of the different services, the cost of broadband, is it gonna go up a lot more if you debundle it from a package,” said Jim Wilcox with Consumer Reports.
What can a confused consumer do if one really wants to drop cable?
Purchase an antenna to get local stations, such as WRAL.
Beyond that, figure out the shows the family needs, then see which services provide them at the lowest cost.
