16-year-old arrested, the second person charged with murder of Raleigh man

Raleigh police have arrested two people in connection with a January homicide on Cumberland Creek Road.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have made a second arrest in connection with a January homicide on Cumberland Creek Road.

Police arrested a 16-year-old. The teen is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Around 10:35 p.m. on Jan. 7, Raleigh police officers responded to the 3500 block of Cumberland Creek Road. Officers found a man with "serious gunshot wounds."

Raleigh police arrested another juvenile on Jan. 17 and charged that person with murder.

Police said Luis Gerardo Guzman-Perez died in the Jan. 7 shooting. He was 18.
