Iconic 'Mr. Peanut' mascot has local ties

The Mr. Peanut mascot is the widely-recognized image of the Planters peanuts. A teenaged boy in 1916 created the original drawings that led to the iconic character. These many years later, his nephew, Bob Slade, of Wake Forest, tells the intriguing story.
