Man charged in fatal Raleigh crash

One person was killed following a two-car crash Sunday afternoon in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person was killed following a two-car crash Sunday afternoon in Raleigh.

Police said a driver was turning left onto Louisburg Road from Calvary Drive when they were struck in the intersection by Dionitio Cristobal Rodriguez Domingo, who was traveling south on Louisburg Road at about 4:40 p.m.

Both drivers were taken to WakeMed, where the first driver died as a result of their injuries. Domingo suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Domingo is charged with failure to stop at a stop light and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Officials did not release the name of the victim.

Traffic detours remained in place near the crash site as officers worked to clear the scene.
