Wake Forest University Police Department is investigating a case of vandalism on campus.

Sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, people vandalized sidewalks and a tree on the Reynolda Campus using spray paint.

One case of the vandalism included antisemitic language. Officials said the university has also received reports of racist, anti-Black, antisemitic, Islamophobic, and homophobic speech.

Wake Forest University's President Susan Wente issued a letter to the campus community about the reports stating in part, "Expressions of hatred directed toward an individual or group are completely antithetical to our values and are abhorrent and unacceptable."
