The top teams in the midseason area code rankings are: Croatan (252), Jordan (919), Terry Sanford (910), Northwest Guilford (336), Providence Day (704), and T.C. Roberson (828).
Orange jumped from 19th to 14th. amid some top-20 shuffling, but the bottom was almost untouched from a week ago, save for Durham Academy joining the rankings to replace Weddington.
Freshman Ellie Powell led the way for Union Pines, recording seven goals and two assists for a total of nine points.
Union Pines defeated Middle Creek in girls lacrosse to remain undefeated on the season.
Marvin Ridge moved up from 18th to 12th and Holly Springs fell from 11th to 14th and Topsail (after an upset loss to unranked Laney) fell from 13th to 22nd. Ardrey Kell was also on the move, jumping from 19th to 16th.

The only new team in the statewide top 25 was Charlotte Christian, which defeated Charlotte Country Day to solidfy its spot at No. 16. The Knights replace Orange.
Union Pines is making its first-ever appearance in the rankings, while West Forsyth is back in after a one-week hiatus and Croatan is ranked for the first time since March 3.
Middle Creek, Willow Spring, Fuquay-Varina, Durham Academy, and Charlotte Christian replace West Forsyth, Asheville School, Northwest Guilford, Cannon School, and Forsyth Country Day.
Exiting the rankings were Christ the King and Durham Academy.

A five-run fourth is all that Middle Creek needed to back a stellar outing from Ryan Morris in a 5-2 win over Millbrook.
Hough and Apex Friendship moved into the top five after Providence Day fell to Myers Park and Green Level lost to Middle Creek.
In the final boys dual-team wrestling area code rankings, Washington is ranked first in the 252, Seaforth in the 919, Lumberton in the 910, Eastern Guilford in the 336, West Rowan in the 704, and Avery County in the 828.
