An Orange County Schools board member resigned after being accused of falsifying her educational history. But voters in Orange County will still see Jennifer Moore’s name on the ballot when they vote in a run-off primary election next month.

Moore was facing fellow board member Bonnie Hauser in that election.

According to officials with the school board, Moore submitted her resignation to the board on April 17. The board accepted her resignation during its meeting on Monday.

According to Orange County Schools, Moore informed the district she received a doctorate in business administration from Bellevue University.

WRAL News reached out to the school, which said it had no record of Moore earning her doctorate or attending the university.

Moore had no further comment when WRAL News asked her about the resignation.

Orange County Board of Elections Director Rachel Raper said Moore’s name will still be on all ballots. Absentee voting in the runoff began March 28.

“All votes cast will be tabulated and reported,” said Rachel Raper, Orange County Board of Elections Director.
